Strength Studio Workshop
This 3-hour workshop is designed specifically for middle and high school dancers who are ready to level up their training by learning true strength fundamentals—tailored to the unique needs of a dancer's body.
We'll dive deep into the differences between a squat and a plié, learn how to safely and effectively use a squat rack, and break down key strength training movements like the front squat, back squat, deadlift, and clean. Dancers will also be introduced to plyometric basics—essential for developing explosive power, jump height, and dynamic movement quality.
This is an educational, hands-on session that goes beyond the studio barre and into the gym, helping dancers understand how to build strength safely and with purpose. The goal is not only to enhance performance, but to give young dancers the knowledge and tools to train smarter for longevity, injury prevention, and physical confidence.
Two sessions available:
– Middle School Dancers: Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 9:00am-12:00pm
– High School Dancers: Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:00pm-4:00pm
Limited to 10 dancers per session to ensure individualized coaching and correction. Ideal for dancers who want to train like athletes and step into the next season stronger than ever.
